Your First Day

Welcome to rtCamp! Whether it’s your first day or you’re just curious about what to expect, we’re excited you chose (or are considering) joining us. 🙌

By now, you should have completed your pre-joining activities and received a calendar invite to kick off your journey with us.

💡 The invite will be sent to your personal email used in your application.

Meet the HR Team

Join us via Zoom at the scheduled time in your invite. You’ll get a warm welcome, an overview of rtCamp, and a quick guide to the systems you’ll be using.

Access Your Accounts

On the same call, you’ll gain access to rtCamp’s GSuite, which gives you access to essential apps like Slack, 1Password, ERP, and Zoom through Google login. Your GitHub will also be linked to rtCamp for project access.

You’ll have tasks in ERP (our HR platform) like setting up Slack, calendar integration, and 2FA for various apps. Check your To-Do List as you progress through the day.

Meet Your Manager

While setting up, your manager will connect with you via Slack to discuss your daily work, deliverables, and team structure. You’ll be part of a pod led by a Project Manager, and you’ll learn more about pods as you go through the Handbook.

Meet Your Buddy

Your Buddy, a seasoned rtCamper, will help you navigate your first days. The interaction is informal, and you can reach out for guidance anytime. Your Buddy will be available for 2-3 days, possibly extending up to 5. They might not have all the answers, but they’ll direct you to the right people.

Compliance Documentation (for 🇮🇳 folks)

To ensure legal compliance, we’ll schedule a quick call with HR towards the end of your day. You’ll review and complete necessary documents such as the Appointment Letter, Terms of Employment, Provident Fund Form, and more, depending on your role.

Taking Breaks

We’re a globally distributed team with flexible hours. Feel free to take breaks as needed, but make sure to:

  • Update your Slack status with your return time.
  • Keep your tasks and stakeholders informed.
  • Attend meetings or notify attendees if something urgent comes up.

Set Up Your Email Signature

Consistency is key when communicating with partners, clients, and external stakeholders. Please follow our Email Setup Guide and ensure your signature is set up correctly.
