Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Racism Policy

At rtCamp, we are committed to building a workplace where every individual feels safe, respected, and valued, irrespective of their race, caste, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or cultural background. Discrimination of any kind goes against our round-table values and has no place at rtCamp.

What Constitutes Discrimination or Racism

Discrimination and racism may be overt or subtle. Below are examples of behaviors that are considered unacceptable at rtCamp:

1. Racial, Ethnic, or Caste-Based Discrimination

Using slurs, derogatory remarks, or mocking someone’s accent, customs, or attire based on race, caste, ethnicity, or religion is unacceptable. Such behavior creates a hostile and disrespectful environment.

2. Religious Discrimination

Disrespecting religious beliefs, practices, or customs – including through jokes, pressure, or intolerance – undermines individual dignity. Everyone has the right to follow or not follow a religion without bias.

3. Bias in Decision-Making

Professional decisions like hiring, promotions, or project allocations must be free from personal biases. Favoritism based on race, caste, or religion is discriminatory and unfair.

4. Microaggressions

Persistent mispronunciation of names or relying on stereotypes in conversation reflects subtle but harmful prejudice. No one should be expected to represent an entire community.

5. Retaliation

Any retaliation, subtle or direct, against someone who raises a concern or complaint is strictly prohibited.

Reporting a Concern

We expect everyone at rtCamp to uphold these values. If anyone experiences or witnesses racist or discriminatory behavior, they are encouraged to reach out to the HR team directly at [email protected].

All concerns will be looked into seriously and sensitively. If anonymity is important to you, we will ensure maintaining your confidentiality.

Investigation and Action

We ensure that all actions are taken with due diligence and that the impacted individual is supported throughout the process. As a team, we want to maintain a safe and fair workplace for everyone.
