How to (correctly) add and understand appraisal feedback

This framework helps managers provide clear and accurate feedback during employee appraisals, ensuring ratings genuinely reflect the performance and contributions of rtCampers. It also helps rtCampers to better understand and act on the feedback they receive.

Appraisal Feedback Overview:

  • Appraisals are designed to evaluate the overall performance of an rtCamper over the entire year.
  • As a manager, your role is to compile and summarize quarterly feedbacks/performance over the past 1 year into a cohesive final report that reflects the rtCamper’s performance level.

Please review the breakdown below to accurately select the type of rating and appraisal.

Interpreting Client Feedback (if applicable):

  • When reviewing client feedback, consider whether the comments align with what is expected from an rtCamper in their role.
  • If feedback is general, it may be helpful to ask for more details to fully understand the impact of the rtCamper’s contributions. This ensures the feedback is comprehensive and provides a clearer picture for the appraisal.
  • Ensure that higher ratings reflect consistent performance throughout the year, rather than being based on recent or isolated feedback. The final rating should provide an accurate reflection of the rtCamper’s sustained efforts and achievements throughout the year.
  • Guidelines for Ratings:
    • Meets Expectations (3 stars): If feedback suggests that the rtCamper performed well and fulfilled their role effectively, this would typically align with meeting expectations.
    • Above Expectations (4 stars): Additional positive remarks, detailed documentation, quality or work, can indicate performance that exceeds expectations.
    • Excellent (5 stars) will be applicable for –
      • Rated as “above expectations” by the client in all feedback parameters, along with fulfilling rtCamp’s internal consistency and discipline guidelines.
      • Any additional contributions made besides the expected deliverables will also impact rtCamp’s internal feedback.
