Understanding Gratuity Benefits

Gratuity is a statutory benefit provided for service with the Company.

  • To be eligible for gratuity, a continuous 5 years service period is required.
  • The gratuity is payable only at the end of the engagement (relieving from the services) with the company, either by resignation or retirement.
  • Gratuity Calculation = Last drawn salary * number of years of employment* 15/26
  • In computing a completed year of service the period in excess of six months shall be taken as a full year.
💡 Gratuity is only applicable for folks engaged with rtCamp India as Full Time Employees. 

Forfeiture of Gratuity: 🤔

The gratuity payable to an rtCamper can be wholly forfeited for the following reason mentioned:

  • If the service of such rtCamper has been terminated for his riotous or disorderly conduct or any other act of violence on his part.
  • If the service of such rtCamper is terminated for any act which constitutes an offence involving moral turpitude provided that such offence is committed by him in the course of his employment. In order to forfeit the gratuity of an rtCamper, there must be a termination order containing charges as established to the effect that the employee was guilty of any of the aforesaid misconducts.

In cases where it has been held that in the absence of a termination order containing any of the above allegations, the gratuity of an rtCamper cannot be forfeited.
